LockerX Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of LockerX, a local vault app for storing photos, videos and files on your device. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LockerX provides tools to import, organize, preview, protect, transfer, share and delete files, photos and videos in an app-managed vault on your device. Features may include PIN lock, Face ID Unlock, Auto Lock, Decoy Password, local albums, file previews and WLAN Transfer.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• using LockerX only for content you own or have the right to store;
• complying with applicable laws and third-party rights;
• remembering your PIN and managing any Decoy Password you create;
• keeping your device, iOS account, backups and local network secure;
• reviewing files before sharing, exporting or deleting them.

3. No Prohibited Use

You may not use LockerX to store, create, distribute or manage content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, exploitative, infringing, invasive of privacy or otherwise violates the rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app.

4. Local Data and Backups

LockerX is primarily local-device software. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to back up your device or exported files. Deleting files, albums or the app may permanently remove local vault data, subject to normal iOS behavior and any separate backups you created.

5. PIN, Face ID and Decoy Password

LockerX lock features are intended to provide a privacy layer on your device, but they are not a substitute for device-level security, strong iOS passcodes or secure backups. LockerX cannot guarantee recovery of a forgotten PIN. A Decoy Password opens an empty vault view and should not be treated as a full security or legal protection mechanism.

6. WLAN Transfer

WLAN Transfer is intended for temporary file uploads from a computer on the same local network. Use it only on trusted networks. Anyone who can access the transfer page while it is running may be able to upload files to your app, depending on your network environment.

7. Third-Party Services and System Components

LockerX may use Apple system features such as Photos, Files, Camera, Face ID, media playback, Quick Look and share sheets. Third-party apps or services you choose through iOS sharing or export flows are not controlled by LockerX and may have their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Changes to the App

Features may be changed, added, removed, paused or discontinued at any time. We may update these Terms when the app changes or when legal or operational requirements change.

9. Disclaimer

LockerX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockerX and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits, goodwill or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

11. Termination

You may stop using LockerX at any time. We may restrict or discontinue access to future versions of the app if these Terms are violated or if continued operation is no longer practical.
