LockerX Privacy Policy

LockerX is designed as a private, on-device vault for photos, videos and files. This policy explains what information the app handles and how that information is protected.

1. Information LockerX Handles

LockerX may handle content that you choose to import or create in the app, including photos, videos, documents, audio files, file names, album names, thumbnails, viewing state and local settings such as PIN, Face ID Unlock, Auto Lock and Decoy Password preferences.

2. Local Storage

Imported photos, videos and files are stored inside the app's private container on your device. LockerX does not require an account and does not upload your vault content to a LockerX server. Your vault content remains on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, transfer, delete or otherwise move it.

3. Photos, Camera and Files Access

LockerX asks for permission only when a feature requires it, such as importing from Photos, taking a photo or video, or selecting files. Content is copied into the app only after you choose it. You can manage system permissions in iOS Settings.

4. Face ID and Device Authentication

If you enable Face ID Unlock, authentication is handled by Apple's Local Authentication system. LockerX does not receive, collect or store your face image, biometric template or other biometric data. The app only receives a success or failure result from iOS.

5. PIN and Decoy Password

LockerX stores app lock settings locally on your device. A Decoy Password, if enabled, opens a separate empty vault view and does not reveal your real vault content. LockerX cannot recover a forgotten PIN for you.

6. WLAN Transfer

When you start WLAN Transfer, LockerX runs a temporary local transfer page on your device so that a computer on the same local network can upload files into LockerX. Files uploaded this way are saved into the app's Files area. The transfer service should be used only on trusted networks and stopped when you no longer need it.

7. Sharing and Exporting

If you use iOS share sheets, file previews, media playback, export actions or other system integrations, your selected content may be handled by Apple frameworks or by apps/services that you choose. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

8. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking

LockerX does not include advertising tracking or a LockerX analytics server in the current app design. If this changes in the future, this policy and the App Store privacy information should be updated before the changed practice is used.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete imported albums, photos, videos and files from inside the app. You may also remove all local LockerX data by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes data stored in the app container, subject to normal iOS behavior and any backups you separately created.

10. Children

LockerX is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app is designed for local storage and does not require a LockerX account, you should supervise any use of the app by minors according to your local requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features, legal requirements or privacy practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is published.
